RapidEye Delivers Images of Floods in Germany

Many regions of Germany, and other parts of Central Europe, have been hit severely by flooding in early June in the wake of unusually heavy rain. RapidEye was able to deliver first images of affected areas in Eastern Germany on June 5.

DLR’s Center for Satellite Based Crisis Information (ZKI) used RapidEye satellite imagery to quickly map the areas most affected by the current floods.
