UN warns that the current model of urbanization is on a collision course with the climate and that if governments do not act quickly global warming could make 200 million people remain homeless by 2050. If the calculations of emissions of greenhouse gases cities encompass processes such as consumption and energy generation, transport and industrial production, urban areas appear as the major villains in the world, being responsible for 70% of the emissions of which occupy only 2 % of the territory on the planet. Read More
