PR – SunEdison, North America’s largest solar energy services provider, today announced that it has appointed two new senior executives to support its global solar energy services operations.
Jubran Whalan, 36, has joined SunEdison as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Based in Beltsville, Whalan will oversee business development with utilities and sales of renewable energy credits.
Prior to joining SunEdison, Whalan served as Vice President, Commodity Trading for TransAlta (NYSE:TAC), where he was responsible for commodity trading and origination business. He also oversaw energy portfolio strategy and management. Before TransAlta, Whalan was head of product development and integration at Trade Spark, a Cantor Fitzgerald Company.
Bob Grier, 50, has joined SunEdison as Senior Vice President of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). Based in Beltsville, Grier will oversee all EPC activities for domestic and international markets.
Previously, Grier served for four years as vice president of construction and manufacturing for Centex Homes, where he focused on continuous improvement of processes, construction quality and profitability of the company. Grier, who also served as President and CEO of the CTX Building Supply division of Centex, spent over 24 years with General Electric in a variety of leadership, engineering, manufacturing and operations roles and is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Whalan holds a B.S. of Maritime Administration from Texas A&M University.
Grier holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Colorado at Boulder.
