Kyocera Corporation (President: Tetsuo Kuba) announced that it has supplied approximately 6-megawatts (MW) of the company’s multicrystalline silicon solar modules for a large-scale solar power plant near Turin, Italy. The large-scale solar plant in Cigliano (Piedmont region), with an output of approximately 6MW, is the largest installation in Italy to have been equipped with Kyocera solar modules. In total, 13,920 215-watt modules (KD215GH-2PU) and 12,900 235-watt modules (KD235GH-2PU) were used for the plant which is operated by the Italian company ENERMILL Energie Rinnovabili s.r.l.
In recent years, more and more solar power plants have been built around the world, and Kyocera has notably shipped more than 50MW of modules for three large-scale power plants in Spain, and agreed to supply modules for a 204MW project in Thailand.
