SuperGIS Mobile Tour 3.0 (Android version) Upgrades Geopark Navigation System

  • Rating12345

SuperGeo Technologies, the leading global provider of complete GIS software and solutions, is pleased to announce that SuperGIS Mobile Tour 3.0 (Android version) is utilized to develop a whole new navigation system for Yehliu Geopark.  As a famous resort with unique geological landscapes in North-eastern Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark has launched an electronic navigation system for the massive visitors. The navigation system used to be only available on Windows Mobile system and now the Android version is developed successfully.

Considering that the Android phones are prevailing over Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark administration seeks to upgrade the original navigation system by SuperGIS Mobile Tour 3.0 for Android to support the Android system with multiple GPS functions, navigation, and basic GIS functions, so that users can directly install the navigation system on their Android phone and visit the Geopark with ease.

Like other Android applications that support multi-touch, the new version of Yehliu Geopark Navigation System (Android Version) can be deployed to Android phones via SD card or cable, and be manipulated with the four buttons on the phone, thus providing a more mobile way for tourists to visit the geologic park.

The Yehliu Geopark Navigation System in Android Version can not only guide visitors to the next spot and indicate the distances clearly with basic map navigation functions, but also help tourists understand the special landforms in the Geopark with the built-in multimedia including texts, audios, pictures and videos.

In addition, the navigation system can automatically record the track log as KML file every 20 seconds. After tourists return the Android phones, the Geopark administration can view the recorded track log as references to analyze the hotspots in the park and meanwhile enhance the facility maintenance or even plan a new scenic spot.

Moreover, administrators can employ SuperGIS Mobile Tour Manager to effectively set the layers, descriptions of scenic spots, routes, system settings, etc. Tourists can download the navigation system which supports Mandarin, English, Japanese, and Korean via the Internet to access the information of those scenic spots and plan their routes in advance, enjoying much more convenience in traveling.
