NAVTEQ Data in Esri Solutions Demonstrated at the 2011 Esri UC

  • Rating12345

NAVTEQ, the leading global provider of maps, traffic and location data enabling navigation, location-based services and mobile advertising around the world, will demonstrate the power of NAVTEQ  map data and location content at the 2011 Esri International User Conference in San Diego, CA (booth #817), July 11-15, 2011.  NAVTEQ is in its fifth year as a gold sponsor of the Esri International User Conference.

The NAVTEQ booth will feature a demonstration of ArcGIS Online, which now includes NAVTEQ maps for Australia, New Zealand, and South America.  Broader NAVTEQ coverage will be available later this year.  ArcGIS Online provides a common platform to find, share, and organize geographic content to build geographic information system (GIS) applications. Through ArcGIS Online users can access ready-to-use global basemaps and task services such as geocoding and routing to build their own maps and apps, and easily share them with a broad community of users.

Also featured in the NAVTEQ booth will be a demonstration of Esri StreetMap Premium Advanced.  Using NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns™, Point Addressing and NAVTEQ Transport™, the latest version provides a greater level of precision for geocoding in the United States and additional routing capabilities for the United States, Canada, and Mexico.  The demonstration will also highlight how additional NAVTEQ premium content can be integrated into the solution.

“This past year we have reached significant milestones in providing Esri users with access to NAVTEQ maps through products like Esri ArcGIS Online and Esri Streetmap Premium Advanced,” said Roy Kolstad, vice president, Enterprise Americas, NAVTEQ. “We are excited to feature key NAVTEQ products for the GIS community, including NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns™, Point Addressing and NAVTEQ Transport™. By visiting our booth and numerous sponsored events, attendees will discover how NAVTEQ data can be easily integrated into Esri software applications.”

Booth visitors will also learn more about key NAVTEQ products for the Esri community such as NAVTEQ Discover Cities™, Destination Maps, NAVTEQ Traffic™, Census Boundaries, and Point Addressing.  New this year, the booth will feature the “NAVTEQ Ultimate Trivia Challenge”.  Test your knowledge about NAVTEQ products and industry insights for a chance to win a prize!

In addition to being a Gold Sponsor, NAVTEQ is also sponsoring the Transportation Industry Special Interest Group, Business GIS Summit (Booth #B103), Homeland Security GIS Summit (Booth #H114), Public Safety Showcase, Defense Showcase (Booth# D152), Telecom User Group, Education User Conference (Booth #E113), Academic GIS Program Fair (Booth #A115) and the Asia Pacific and Latin America Regional User Group.
