CloverPoint is pleased to announce one of our Spatial Systems Analysts, Laura Colquhoun, has won the 2011 GeoAlberta 2D and 3D Online Cartography Map Gallery Award. This award recognizes technical achievement in 2D and 3D digital presentations. The award took place in Edmonton at the annual GeoAlberta GIS conference.

GeoAlberta is a conference presented by four GIS associations within Alberta:

  • The Alberta Chapter of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA)
  • The Alberta Chapter of the Geospatial Information Technology Association (GITA)
  • The Alberta Geomatics Group (AGG)
  • GeoEdmonton

The aim of the conference is to provide training for GIS professionals as well as to demonstrate how the community is using GIS.  As part of this conference there is a competition among individuals to showcase their maps and to win prizes.
