RICS Malaysia, in conjunction with the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (ISM) and the ASEAN Federation of Land Surveying and Geomatics (The ASEAN FLAG), will be organizing the 11th South East Asian Survey Congress and 13th International Surveyors’ Congress, to be held on 22-24 June 2011. YB Dato Sri Douglas Uggah Embas, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental of Malaysia, will give an opening address for the congress and exhibition. RICS President Elect, Sr Ong See Lian and RICS Asia Chairman, Mr Chris Brooke will attend and speak at the conference.
The event intends to highlight initiatives aimed at encouraging the convergence, sharing and use of innovative technologies as well as other initiatives to forge new industry collaborations for the benefit of the surveying community. With the theme “Innovation Towards Sustainability”, it seeks to look into synergizing the multidisciplinary nature of surveyors and their role in galvanizing the use of innovative technologies to meet sustainable development objectives in all related areas.
