Join the contest “Studying Fires Dynamics Based on RS Data”

Registration for the “Remote sensing of wildfires” contest has started. The contest is carried out on GIS-Lab.info platform, the leading Russian Internet-resource, dedicated to practical aspects of remote sensing and to geographical information systems. Contest participants are to develop methods of automated or semi-automated detection of burned areas within 2000-2011 period using remote sensing data. The second research interest is explanation of the fire dynamics where participants are expected to couple burnt areas size change dynamics and detection of relations with other phenomena. Read More
