Alberta announced Tuesday it has teamed with the government of British Columbia to develop a new forecasting system that will provide more advanced notice of anticipated smoke resulting from forest fires. The Blue Sky Western Canada Smoke Forecasting system combines information related to burning wildfires, such as location and size, with weather forecasts, said Alberta Environment spokeswoman Ogho Ikhalo.
