  • Rating12345

earthmine, a world leader in 3D street level imagery, held its first-ever Partner Conference last week, hosting nearly 100 current and potential partners representing 13 countries at the two-day conference. Kicking off the conference on Thursday, July 7, was the keynote presentation by Lawrie Jordan, Director of Imagery for Esri and founder of ERDAS. Throughout the conference earthmine previewed for attendees emerging products, technologies and partnerships, while presentations and panels featuring more than 20 guest speakers highlighted customer successes with the earthmine solution.

“The conference really highlighted the value of the earthmine platform in the geospatial community and provided a great forum to learn from each other,” said earthmine co-founder and co-CEO Anthony Fassero. “With this success and such enthusiasm from all the attendees we are looking forward to making this an annual event.”

Some of the guest speakers’ topics included earthmine solutions in areas such as transportation, telecommunications, asset identification and management, utilities, facilities mapping and ADA accessibility evaluation. There were also lively panel discussions on transportation and augmented reality. Among the presenting guest speakers were Julian Ware, City of Oakland; Pascal Thomas, Pages Jaunes Groupe of France; Randall Frantz and Gary Waters from Esri; Peter Markham, Landgate of Australia; Avideh Zakhor of UC Berkeley; Igor Kozinsev of Intel; Eric La Brie of ESM Consulting and Justin Lokitz of AutoDesk.

“We easily surpassed our registration target for this first Partner Conference and we were excited to provide our conference attendees with such a depth and range of content,” said Fassero of earthmine. “We were very proud to host what we feel was a gathering of the best and the brightest — people really pushing the technology forward and using it in ways to improve efficiency and create better solutions for a host of issues.”

Attendees of this inaugural earthmine Partner Conference, held at the Doubletree Berkeley Marina, also enjoyed a dinner cruise excursion on San Francisco Bay Thursday evening, and a wine tasting event after the close of the conference on Friday, July 8. Read More
