Breakthrough in Automatic Analysis of Aerial Images with Computer Stereo Vision

  • Rating12345

GTA Geoinformatik GmbH presents revolutionary new technology for automatic 3D object reconstruction without help of any 2D map data at CeBIT 2012 At this years CeBIT in Hannover dated 06th to 10th March GTA for the first time presents a prototype of a new tridicon® software version, that enables the detection of 3D objects like buildings without the need for 2D vector data (e. g. building outlines). The only source material that needs to be available for the automatic 3D object reconstruction are stereo aerial images. A development which will revolutionize the production of 3D geo-data worldwide. Additionally GTA presents the cutting edge versions of its well known software products tridicon® 3D for the automatic production of 3D building models, the photogrammetric work station (tridicon® 3D EDITOR) as well as modules for automatic texturing (tridicon® TEXTUREMapper), automatic assessment of solar potential on roofs (tridicon® Solar), 3D real-time visualization and analysis (tridicon® CityDiscoverer PRO) as well as data and updating management of 3D city models in data bases such as MySQl, PostgreSQL or Oracle (CityServer3D, in cooperation with Fraunhofer IGD Darmstadt).

This way, tridicon® software solutions enable commercial users as well as municipalities and state authorities to produce very large scale 3D city models in LoD2 extremely fast and cost efficient on a high quality level. Test data will be analyzed for suitability on request. The individual production of sample data sets is certainly possible as well. You can find GTA at the IT-Initiative MV in hall 9 booth 34.
