Orkney and Mapconcierge to Partner with OpenGeo for Geospatial Solutions in Japan

OpenGeo, the leader in open source geospatial web services today announced that is has signed agreements with Orkney, an open source business solution provider located in Yokohama Japan, and Mapconcierge, a business solutions and GPS/UAV provider located in Tokyo, Japan, to provide support and translation services for the OpenGeo Suite in Japan.  “It is great news for Japanese customers that they will now be able to take advantage of OpenGeo’s core level of technical support in the Japanese language,” notes Toru Mori, President and CEO of Orkney.  “I am happy to be working in cooperation with Mapconcierge to make this capability available to geospatial users in Japan.” “Mapconcierge is excited to offer localization of the OpenGeo Suite software for the Japanese market,” added Taichi Furuhashi, President of MapConcierge. “We love GeoServer, PostGIS, and, of course, the OpenGeo Suite.  Japanese geospatial users will greatly benefit from this new partnership between Mapconcierge, Orkney and OpenGeo.” OpenGeo
