Sentec Wins Queen’s Award for the Second Year Running

Sentec has been recognised with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation. This is the second year in a row that the company has been honoured with a Queen’s Award. The Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation, which recognises continual innovation and commercialisation, was awarded to Sentec for its Sterling technology. The Sterling technology is at the heart of both the Sensus iPerl smart water meter, currently being rolled out in the US and the Aquiba A200 smart water meter aimed at the Australian market. Smart meters are the next generation of utility meters. Offering superior metrology data, smart meters provide more accurate and detailed information on usage of water, gas and electricity. This allows for flexible payment tariffs which measure consumption over specified time periods; accurate forecasting energy demand at different times of the day; and leak and service outage detection.
