Valtus Imagery Services, a division of North West Geomatics Ltd. and Iunctus Geomatics Corp. announced today that they have entered into a partnership whereby SPOT Image satellite data will be made available through the Valtus distribution and delivery channel, enhancing the Valtus library of coverage for the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin as well as other areas of Canada.
The Iunctus SPOT image products will be accessible through Valtus’ Views: Spatial Data Access Subscription, an ArcXML and WMS service, allowing for real-time streaming of the imagery directly to the user’s desktop, as well as a static download from the Spatial Data Store. Valtus customers will now have the convenience of accessing these datasets from within their existing workflows and environment. “We are excited to be able to offer these additional imagery products to our customers”, said Tammy Peterson, director of partner strategy and support at Valtus. “Iunctus has created and maintains very significant and up-to-date coverage within the areas of operation of Valtus’ customers, and we are very pleased to be able to offer these datasets to our clients. We believe that Iunctus’ products uniquely compliment the existing Valtus data and are a welcome addition to our data offering.”
“Iunctus is very happy to be working with Valtus for the sales and distribution of our SPOT imagery in Canada commented Sam Lieff, manager of geo-imagery sales & business development for Iunctus. “Valtus is a well established company in the geo-imagery business space, and is engaged with a significant number of clients in a wide range of vertical markets. They not only add strength to our current reseller network, but will help create new business opportunities around our SPOT product line. This is a very exciting time for us.”
