Leica DISTO D8 Receives Award for Product Innovation at BAU 2011

At this year’s BAU 2011 trade fair, which took place from 17th to 22nd January in Munich, the Leica DISTO™ D8 won an award for product innovation presented by Bundesarbeitskreis für Altbauerneuerung e.V. (BAKA), Bauverlag and Messe München. This regular award is made with the aim of promoting the development of forward-looking product ideas and designs especially for applications associated with building within existing buildings. The focus is on exemplary products and system solutions that ease the task of modernization in terms of construction, architecture, economy and efficiency.   Under the patronage of German’s Federal Minister for Transport, Building and Urban Development, Dr. Peter Ramsauer, the prize for innovation was awarded at the international building fair BAU 2011 in Munich/Germany. With a new record of 238,000 visitors, 25% of whom were from abroad, and more than 2,000 exhibitors, the “BAU” has become the leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. Read More
