3D Laser Mapping and RIEGL Bring Laser Mapping Technology to Ocean Business 2013

Laser scanning specialist 3D Laser Mapping and laser scanning manufacturer RIEGL are attending Ocean Business, the hands on ocean technology exhibition, for the first time. Taking place from the 9-11 April 2013 at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, Ocean Business will showcase more than 300 companies offering the latest global ocean technologies. The exhibition, training forum and accompanying conference Offshore Survey, are set to attract more than 4,000 visitors from 50 countries around the world.

3D Laser Mapping will be exhibiting at RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems booth V8 in dockside exhibition hall and will be showcasing state of the art RIEGL mobile marine laser scanning and hydrographic airborne systems. Dr. Martin Pfennigbauer, Director Research & Intellectual Property at RIEGL, will hold a workshop on the topic “RIEGL laser scanner systems for hydrographic surveying – above and below water surface” on Thursday, April 11, from 9 – 10 am in Ray Beverton Room.

Jon Chicken, Managing Director of 3D Laser Mapping stated, “In partnership with RIEGL, 3D Laser Mapping will be demonstrating some of the latest software and hardware solutions from the laser scanning community; specifically designed to address data capture and survey opportunities within ocean and marine environments.”

RIEGL and 3D Laser Mapping will be demonstrating a range of solutions for the marine and coastal sectors including robust mobile mapping systems for monitoring of coastal zones and airborne systems for hydrographic mapping.
