3-GIS shows Global Reach with Presentations, Conferences

  • Rating12345

Thousands of frequent flyer miles, hundreds of new connections and a significant new recognition as “2013 Business Partner of the Year” were among the results of a busy month of travel for 3-GIS, a global leading GIS software solutions company based in Decatur, Alabama. Over the past three weeks, 3-GIS either attended or presented at half-a-dozen events around the world – including events held in Palm Springs, California, Pensacola, Florida, Montgomery, Alabama and Dubai.

Jerry Golden, 3-GIS Chief Operations Officer, attended the American Public Gas Association SIF Operations Conference, held in Pensacola from March 18-20, 2013.

The American Public Gas Association describes the SIF as being dedicated to “promoting the security and operational integrity and safety of small natural gas distribution and utilization facilities. The SIF focus’s its resources on enhancing the abilities of gas utility operators to prevent, mitigate and repair damage to the nation’s small gas distribution infrastructure.”

3-GIS Network Solutions are designed to handle many of the new and complex government regulations gas utilities are facing – from gas leak surveying to quickly and easily generating compliance reports.

“3-GIS offers simple solutions to the complex problems gas utilities are facing,” said Golden.  ”When customers see what 3-GIS offers in areas like gas leak surveying and inspection, we feel like 3-GIS is far and away the best choice.”

Several members of the 3-GIS team also made their way to Palm Springs, California for both the Esri Partner Conference and the Esri Developer Summit.

The 2013 Esri Partner Conference was held from March 23-26 at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, CA.

3-GIS was on hand to introduce its new look and to show off the latest innovations it has brought to the geospatial industry.

At the 2013 Esri Developer Summit, thousands of developers and geo-technologists were on hand as Esri introduced its latest location-based platform, ArcGIS 10.2, tentatively scheduled for release in June 2013.

At GISWORX ’13, held in Dubai and hosted by GISTEC, 3-GIS not only presented some of its industry leading solutions to the conference, but also came away as GISTEC’s newly named 2013 Business Partner of the Year.

Lee Nelson, 3-GIS executive program director, was on hand in Dubai to accept the award on 3-GIS’ behalf.

“This recognition underscores our commitment to not only our business partner (GISTEC) but also to our growing customer base in the region,” said Nelson. “With project’s now in production at ADWEA, SEWA, FEWA and others 3-GIS has demonstrated that our Web, Mobile, and cloud technologies are an excellent fit for this demanding GIS community.”

3-GIS closed out its recent travel schedule with a trip to Montgomery, Alabama for the Alabama Rural Electric Association Annual Meeting.

“Our solutions are used globally,” said Tom Counts, 3-GIS president and CEO. “Our travel schedule not only reflects our capabilities but also shows how much interest there is in our services.”

3-GIS demonstrated 3-GIS Web, its web based solution; 3-GIS Mobile, its configurable mobile solution, and 3-GIS Live. 3-GIS Live focuses on delivering the award-winning products of 3-GIS through Amazon EC2. 3-GIS Live presents the 3-GIS solutions in a highly elastic, extremely secure, and incredibly reliable cloud delivery model.

The company has made several successful previous trips to the conferences. In 2011, 3-GIS was the proud recipient of the Esri Partner’s Choice Award and the Esri Private Web Application Award.

“When people see how smart, fast, easy-to-use, secure and affordable our solutions are 3-GIS, and our solutions stand out,” added Counts.
