3-GIS Mobilizes to Assist Jefferson County in Damage Assessment

  • Rating12345

3-GIS, a GIS software development and services company is assisting the Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency (JCEMA) with damage assessment data from the April 27 storms that devastated northern Alabama communities. As data is coming in from various sources, 3-GIS stood up their GIS system in Decatur, AL as an aggregation tool to populate Jefferson County EMA’s Emergency Operations Center.  3-GIS employees worked with JCEMA to push data into the system as quickly as it came in.  The data going into the system creates actionable information coming out that is consumed by WebEOC and other organizations to begin understanding the spatial relationship of the impact as well as the degree of damage as spatially represented.
