In partnership with the National Geographic Institute (IGN), the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Department of the Navy (SHOM), the Bureau of Geological and Mining Research (BRGM), the Institute of Development Research (IRD) and the National Library de France (BNF), the French mapping organizes the 25th International Cartographic Conference in Paris, Palais des Congres, the 3 to 8 July 2011. The conference, whose theme this year “Lights on mapping and GIS,” is open to all age groups: researchers, policy makers in the field of geomatics, teachers or just love maps. 2000 people from 70 different countries are expected during these five days.
