1Spatial Wins Ordnance Survey Of Great Britain (OSGB) Contract

1Spatial, which manages the world’s largest spatial data, has been awarded the, single source contract by the Ordnance Survey of Great Britain (OSGB), under which its will supply software support and consultancy services to the Ordnance Survey’s Geospatial Data Management System (GDMS).

“We are looking forward to a new level of relationship with Ordnance survey and helping the organisation achieve its goals with the core geospatial infrastructure. Our solution is extremely efficient at managing and servicing large amounts of spatial data and we’re looking forward to wider collaboration with Ordnance Survey”, commented Marcus Hanke, Chief Executive of 1Spatial.

This announcement follows 1Spatial’s recent contract with Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi). 1Spatial will give OSi the capability to maintain their entire national spatial database and be confident in the quality of the data. Having accurate spatial data will give Ireland a national framework, which will underpin efficient government and economic development in the country, both now and into the future.
