Cambridge, UK, August 20, 2015 — (www.1spatial.com) 1Spatial, the global spatial software firm which manages the world’s largest spatial data, will be a Platinum Sponsor of the BCS – SoC Conference 2015, an event bringing together The British Cartographic Society and the Society of Cartographers, taking place in York, 8-10 September 2015. The company will also be exhibiting throughout the event.

Nicolas Regnauld, Product Manager at 1Spatial, will give a presentation entitled “The Easy Way from Data to Cartographic Products” during a workshop session on Thursday 10th September between 11.45-12.45pm. During the presentation he will demonstrate how to quickly produce a map from topographic data. The data will be generalised and styled using default settings in 1Generalise and 1Publish. He will then show how these default configurations can be easily tweaked to arrive at the quality that is required.

Nico Regnauld will be accompanied by Paul Dure, Senior Account Manager at 1Spatial, on the exhibition stand throughout the event. The conference will run for three days and will provide delegates with the opportunity to gain mapping knowledge from a wide range of world class presentations and interactive workshops.

The British Cartographic Society’s Annual Symposium attracts specialists from private, academic, and government organisations whose common interest lies in using and promoting maps as a valuable communication device. It provides both a valuable and enjoyable opportunity to learn and share information about recent projects, join focused discussion groups and network with colleagues and experts sharing the same interest.
