Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Selects NAVTEQ for U.S. Map Data Coverage

  • Rating12345

NAVTEQ announces their agreement with the FCC to supply nationwide map data in support of broadband availability analysis for U.S. states and territories. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 charges the FCC with developing a national broadband plan so that all Americans have access to broadband capability.  Under the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Grant Program, each state and territory is required to report broadband availability information for their coverage area on a semi-annual basis. The NAVTEQ® map enables FCC analysis of this input and supports the development of a national broadband map. Learn More
