IGN France Int’l to Present 3D Solution for Urban Planning

Urban problems, i.e. how the community will have to manage the growing pressure that is exerted on the development of their territory, require tools that allow us to see the bigger picture and medium term management. Result of 10 years of R&D in IGN research laboratories, BATI3D is a high definition production of the 3D data of buildings, and topologically exact. The data allows for many types of simulations (new infrastructure, impact assessment, crisis management and diagnostics) as well as the visualization of urban space.

A decision support, communication and consultation tool, the 3D solution can be implemented to meet the needs that arise in many fields such as urban development, environment, crisis management, etc.
