Harper Adams opens £2.9 Million Agricultural Engineering Innovation Centre

Precision farming received a boost as Harper Adams University opened its £2.9 million agricultural engineering innovation centre (AEIC), which will focus on teaching and research. The centre will focus on innovation across all agricultural sectors, with students and researchers developing new technologies and looking at how the industry can best use innovative precision techniques to improve production. Its facilities include an electronics/mechatronics lab, hydraulics lab, research lab for tractors and machines and a state-of-the-art lecture theatre, into which tractors and other machinery can be driven.
