The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) awarded BAE Systems the iSToRE XP contract to provide advanced data management capabilities in support of National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) sites and users. The software solution is built on BAE Systems’ commercial product, GXP Xplorer, which enables analysts to easily access their local data and connect to remote geospatial data stores and libraries.
OpenGeo the world’s leading commercial open source geospatial company, is promoting key team members Juan Marin, Tim Schaub, and Justin Deoliveira to new roles within the company. Marin has been named chief technology officer, OpenGeo CEO Eddie Pickle said in making the announcement, while Schaub and Deoliveira assume Vice President positions in OpenGeo's industry-leading software development group.

These groundbreaking Guidelines represent the first industry created set of best practices for improving how location data is gathered, used and managed along with a ‘scorecard’ for quantitatively measuring a company’s privacy risk level.
AeroMetric has hired Felicia Retiz as an account manager based out of Austin, TX. In this role she will be responsible for managing client relations and networking under Steve Ellis for AeroMetric’s Texas-based Enterprise Geospatial Information System (EGIS) endeavors. Retiz is highly skilled in managing complex geospatial projects in the public sector at the local, state, and federal level, having managed such projects in Texas for nearly 15 years.
