Municipalities Need More Federal Cash to Fix Infrastructure

GUARDIAN, P.E.I. - Canada’s municipalities are calling on the federal government to hand over more of its cash so they can deal with crumbling infrastructure and help balance their books, says Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee. Lee, who recently returned from meetings of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, said Canada’s municipalities are starving to death while the federal government continues to rack up huge surpluses.
